ClickMeeting and Livestorm: a comparison
Both ClickMeeting and Livestorm are advanced online event platforms enjoyed by users around the world. First, they offer access to interactive webinars enriched with features that support collaboration and knowledge sharing. However, besides them, there are many interesting tools available. Let’s take a look at them!
ClickMeeting and Livestorm - how much do you have to pay?
The main difference noticeable during the comparison is the price and the billing system. With ClickMeeting, you pay for the number of attendees who can take part in the event simultaneously. With Livestorm, the cost is determined by active contact, meaning each person who registered for your event. This also applies to on-demand webinars: in ClickMeeting, there is no limit to the number of attendees. In Livestorm, each person registered counts as a live contact, so it’s very simple to exceed the limit.
In ClickMeeting, you can easily find a suitable plan in the price list that will allow you to organize webinars for up to 1,000 people. In Livestorm, already above 500 active contacts, you will need to contact Enterprise department staff. The maximum number of participants during an event at Livestorm is 3,000. At ClickMeeting, thanks to webcasting technology, it is 10,000 attendees.
Livestorm provides its customers with a free version of the tool. However, it comes with significant limitations. First of all, a maximum of 30 active contacts can be created per month. The same number of users can also attend a single event at most. A session can last a maximum of 20 minutes. The advantage of the Free version of Livestorm, on the other hand, is that many features remain available, and the user doesn’t even have to provide his credit card details.
ClickMeeting, meanwhile, offers a 30-day trial period. During it, you can test the platform’s most important features, including automation, and gather up to 25 attendees. Also, you don’t have to provide your card details.
Automation and paid events in Livestorm and ClickMeeting
Both webinar platforms offer automation features. Both ClickMeeting and Livestorm make it possible to create on-demand and automated webinars. In both Livestorm and ClickMeeting you will automate the sending of pre-event and post-event messages. Importantly: in Livestorm, you will not send certificates automatically after the webinar, which you can easily do in ClickMeeting.
ClickMeeting’s integration with modern payment systems allows you to create paid events. Livestorm does not provide this capability. To organize a paid webinar, you must use other tools and integrate them through Zapier.
Not just webinars: other features of ClickMeeting and Livestorm
In the case of ClickMeeting, the significant advantage is the meeting mode, which allows as many as 40 people to turn on cameras and microphones and use interactive features. Livestorm allows 16 users to be involved in this way.
This is also reflected in the capabilities of breakout rooms, allowing you to divide your event into smaller groups. ClickMeeting provides a comfort collaboration of up to 40 people within a single breakout room. In the case of Livestorm, it is 16 people. However, the breakout rooms feature is available there in the beta version only.
The French platform also does not provide access to a feature such as edu mode, which allows you to effectively manage educational events and create a comfortable environment for acquiring knowledge online.
